Telmap is a static editorial website designed to collect as little visitor information as practical. It does not use web analytics, advertising technology, tracking pixels, user accounts, comment systems, or a contact form. It does not intentionally set cookies.

What information can the hosting system process?

Like most web servers and security networks, the hosting system may process technical request data needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, request time, requested path, response status, user-agent string, referrer, and security event information.

This technical data is used for availability, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Telmap does not combine it with advertising profiles or sell it. Retention depends on the hosting and security configuration and should be limited to operational need.

What happens when an email is sent?

Email sent to the published editorial address contains the sender's address, message, headers, and any information the sender chooses to include. It is used to respond, investigate corrections, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary editorial records.

Sensitive identity documents, full birth dates, account information, medical records, and private records should not be sent unless Telmap has confirmed that the information is necessary and provided an appropriate method. Unsolicited sensitive information may be deleted without being used.

Does Telmap use third-party content?

Pages do not embed third-party video, social widgets, advertisements, analytics, external fonts, or remote scripts. Fonts, styles, cover images, and interface code are served locally. Visiting a Telmap page should not require a browser request to an outside content provider.

What happens after following an external link?

Articles link to government agencies, courts, archives, regulators, and relevant service pages. Following a link leaves Telmap and subjects the visitor to the destination's privacy and security practices. Telmap does not control those sites.

How is information shared?

Telmap does not sell visitor personal information. Technical or email information may be disclosed to hosting and email providers that process it for service delivery, to protect the site and users, to comply with lawful process, or during a legitimate transfer of the publication with appropriate safeguards.

How long is information retained?

Email and operational records are retained only as long as needed for the purpose, security, legal obligations, and a defensible correction history. Routine logs should follow short operational retention where feasible. Published articles and source notes can be retained as editorial records.

What choices are available?

A person can request information about an editorial email exchange, correction of inaccurate contact information, or deletion when retention is no longer necessary, subject to applicable law and legitimate editorial or security needs. The request should be sent to the address on the contact page.

How are policy changes handled?

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Telmap will not describe analytics, cookies, or advertising as absent if any such technology is later introduced; the policy and interface must be updated before that change.
